Brand identity and signage for a mixed-use retail project in Hashimoto, Japan. Working closely with architects from the Jerde Partnership, I developed an identity out of the architectural concept and concurrent with a signage program. Creating a brand with the implementation in mind turns out to be a good way to approach it: design is its implementation.

Modified Kanji characters and modified Anglo lettering were developed at the same time to ensure a consistent feel in both languages.
